Choosing between The Cut, The Feature, and The Premiere
What actually separates the three collections, which releases each one includes, and how to tell which is right for the day you are planning.
Three collections, one standard
Every Skytona wedding is made to the same craft standard. What changes between collections is scale: how much of the day we can cover, how many places we can be at once, how many voices are captured cleanly, and how many finished pieces you receive afterward.
Nothing here is a stripped-down version of anything else. The Cut is a complete collection built around one strong film. The Feature and The Premiere widen what the cameras can hold and add releases on top of it.

The four things that actually change
Price differences are easy to see and hard to interpret. These are the four levers behind them, in the order they usually matter.
- 1Hours of coverageSix hours with The Cut, ten with The Feature, twelve with The Premiere. Hours decide where the day starts and stops for us: whether we are there for the letter you read while getting ready, and whether we are still there for the last dance.
- 2Crew sizeTwo filmmakers, up to three, or up to four. Crew decides how many places exist at once. One camera cannot be with both partners getting ready in different buildings, however good it is.
- 3MicrophonesThree, eight, or twelve. This is the biggest jump between The Cut and The Feature, and the one couples underestimate most. Microphones decide whose words survive the day.
- 4What you receiveEvery collection includes your Skytona Film, your full ceremony, and your toasts. The Feature and The Premiere add a sneak peek and a trailer, and the film itself gets longer as the collection grows.
Which one fits your day
The honest way to choose is to describe your actual day and see which collection covers it, rather than starting from a budget and working backward.
The Cut fits a contained day
One venue, or two close together. A schedule that holds together inside six hours. You want one beautifully made film plus the full ceremony and toasts, and you do not need a trailer.
The Feature fits most weddings
Separate getting-ready locations, a ceremony and reception that are not in the same room, speeches that matter, and a day that realistically runs longer than six hours. It is the collection we recommend by default because it matches how most weddings actually behave.
The Premiere fits a bigger story
A day that starts early and ends late, a large party, many people whose voices belong in the film, or a wedding spread across more than one day. It also adds sit-down interviews and rehearsal dinner coverage, which change what the film can say.
The most common regret
Couples rarely tell us they wish they had booked less. When something is missed, it is almost always because coverage ended before the day did, or because a voice was not miked. If you are between two collections, the larger one usually protects the moments you cannot re-shoot.
Which releases you receive
This is the difference worth being precise about, because it changes what lands in your portal and when.
Your Skytona Film arrives about six months after the wedding, and your anniversary release arrives at a year. Those are part of all three collections. The sneak peek within about two weeks and the trailer at about three months are part of The Feature and The Premiere.

What you can change later
A collection is a starting point rather than a final answer. After booking, the add-on store in your portal can add coverage hours, an extra filmmaker, extra microphones, photography, drone, keepsakes, and finishing upgrades, up to whatever the schedule can still support.
If you want to move to a different collection entirely, contact Skytona rather than working through the store. We will tell you honestly whether it is still possible for your date and what it would cost.
Does The Cut include a trailer?
No. The Cut includes your fifteen minute Skytona Film, your full ceremony, and your toasts and speeches. A trailer is part of The Feature and The Premiere. If a trailer matters to you, it is worth deciding that before you book.
Is a longer film always better?
No, and we will say so. Film length should match how much story the day actually holds. A thirty minute film built from a day that supports fifteen is a slower film, not a richer one. The collections scale coverage and craft together for exactly this reason.
Can we add hours to a smaller collection instead of upgrading?
Often, yes. Additional coverage hours and an extra filmmaker are available as add-ons. What add-ons cannot do is change which releases your collection includes, so a trailer still comes from choosing The Feature or The Premiere.
How does payment work across the collections?
The same way for all three. Your date is held with a thirty percent non-refundable deposit. The balance can be paid in full for ten percent off the total, or split into monthly installments up to six payments.
